Bigger unis meant swapping-out the diff yoke for one that will suit.

Enter one Strange chrome moly 1350 series yoke to suit the GM 12 bolt, supplied by Rocket Industries...

Active Automatic Transmissions in Blacktown came good with a new automatic transmission tail housing, bush and seal.

Handed the goodies over to NAS Automotive; they connected the trans to the diff again and reconnected the exhaust.

The last piece of the puzzle was straightening and repairing the floor pan which was taken care of by Platinum Autobody Smash Repairs in Wetherill Park.

Phew!

Not your usual tune...

With engineering/rego done-and-dusted, it was time to finish off the whole LS swap process with an ECU Tune. Off to NAS Automotive in Thornleigh...

Call later in the day to see how they were tracking, yeah, nah... tailshaft thought it would come apart at-speed on the dyno and rearrange the underside of the car...

Do. Not. Use. A&L Driveshafts in Campsie!

The A&L driveshaft was 2.750" OD with 0.083" wall... waaay too small for this length of tail shaft.

BIG apologies to NAS! Not their fault at all and no one needs a tailshaft coming at their nether regions during a dyno pull.

New Tailshaft

New thicker-wall tailshaft (80 mm shorter than original to accomodate the longer 4L65E) and new uni joints, packed with grease ready to be bolted-up...

Tail shaft

Work done by A&L Driveshafts in Campsie.

UPDATE: exploded on the dyno on Tue 17.04.2018.

The A&L driveshaft was 2.750" OD with 0.083" wall... waaay too small!
